We have a range of on-site facilities for visitors and patients to use. Details about these are as follows:
Restaurants at APH
We have a wide range of refreshment facilities at Arrowe Park Hospital.
This includes cafes and restaurants.
We also have vending facilities where you can purchase light snacks, meals and drinks 24 hours a day.
Our in-house catering team provide a superb range of high quality, nutritious hot and cold meals and snacks for staff and visitors to our hospitals as well as members of the public.
The Retreat Restaurant
The Retreat Restaurant can be found in the basement level of Arrowe Park Hospital and is easy to locate.
Opening times are as follows:
- Monday to Friday 7:30am to 11:30am. 12:00 noon to 5:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday 7:30am to 11:00am. 12:00 noon to 5:00pm
The Retreat Restaurant is a clean, spacious, air conditioned and comfortable environment in which you can enjoy during breaks and at meal times.
Our menus are competitively priced and our speedy service enables you to eat well, even if you are short of time.
We offer a wide range of healthy food options including a tempting salad bar plus every week we provide a healthy option deal and themed menus.
In addition to increasing the amount of food information and advice (on areas such as allergies), we offer a greater range of food to cater for cultural needs, for example Halal and Kosher.
Annabelle’s Coffee Shop
Annabelle's Coffee Shop is located on the ground floor of Arrowe Park Hospital close to the main entrance.
Opening times are as follows:
- Monday to Friday 8:15am to 9:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday 11:00am to 9:00pm
Shops at APH
In the main foyer of Arrowe Park Hospital you can find a newspaper/magazine shop and a gift/card shop.
Our League of Friends also run a shop stocked with toiletries, sandwiches and snacks.
Lite Bites (cake and snack shop)
Lite Bites is located on the ground floor of Arrowe Park Hospital close to the main entrance.
Opening times are as follows:
Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:30pm
Saturday 1:00pm to 6:30pm
Sunday 12:00 noon to 6:30pm (closed bank holidays)
Cash Machine at APH
A cash machine is available in the main lift lobby at Arrowe Park Hospital.
Chapel at APH
We have a chapel located on the first floor of Arrowe Park Hospital for quiet prayer and services.
Pharmacy at APH
A Lloyd’s Pharmacy is located between our Emergency Department and the All Day Health Centre. The telephone umber for the pharmacy is 0151 677 6449.

Wheelchairs at APH
Our hospitals are wheelchair accessible.
If a wheelchair is required please come to the Main Reception.
The reception staff (0800-1900 hours Monday to Friday) will then book the request with the portering team who will come and assist you.
If the Main Reception is closed, then please go to Switchboard which is directly opposite Main Reception desk, as this is operational 24/7.
Please allow 20 minutes to enable us to provide a wheelchair.
