How to access the service

An Occupational Therapist is usually present 2 days per week on the neonatal unit at Arrowe Park Hospital. Medical or nursing staff are able to refer infants if there is a need or if parent/care givers wish to have an OT assessment. If you are a parent/care giver on the neonatal ward, Please speak to the neonatal team to request a referral to Occupational Therapy.

Once an infant has been discharged from the hospital, referral into Early Years OT or Early Years Physiotherapy would be required for outpatient/community assessments, please see Early Years pages below for information.
