Home Safety Advice

Keeping your child safe both in and out of the home is a priority for all parents and care givers, but for some children; especially those with emerging additional needs, this can prove even more challenging. Fortunately there a number of commercially available items than can aid in this area and to support those parent's and caregivers we have designed a booklet called 'keeping our tots safe'.

The aim of this booklet is to help you as parents/caregiver in the following areas:

  1. Identify Risk- Highlight areas/behaviours in the home that may be of high risk.
  2. Give parents practical ideas/advice to reduce these risks as best as possible.
  3. Provide commercial product ideas that parents/families have used in the care of children with additional needs to reduce identified risk behaviours.
