Clatterbridge League of Friends

What we do

The League of Friends has raised funds for the benefit of patients in the Wallasey area for over 40 years. Every day volunteers sell tea, coffee and snacks to patients in the Walk in Centre at Victoria Central Health Centre.

The service they provide and the funds they raise are invaluable to our services and our patients. Monies raised have enabled teams in the Wallasey area to purchase equipment (in addition to the Trust's core provision) such as specialist cameras that enable pictures to be sent for immediate diagnosis and specialist chairs for phlebotomy patients. We would like to thank the League of Friends volunteers for all their support and dedication.

How We Do It

The League of Friends raises money in a variety of ways: from organising a monthly lottery to regular collections and bag packs at supermarkets across the Wirral. They put on a range of fundraising events and produce their own Christmas cards each year. Through their volunteering efforts, charitable donations and legacies, they aim to make a real difference to Clatterbridge Hospitals.
