Ear, Nose and Throat

The ENT Department is based at Arrowe Park Hospital though outpatient clinics are held at Clatterbridge Hospital, Victoria Central Health Centre, and St Catherine’s Health Centre. All clinics are supported by our Audiology department so that hearing tests can be provided on the same day as clinic appointments where required.

The ENT Department helps diagnose and treat all types of diseases of the ear, nose, throat and neck. Most patients are treated without the need for surgery but we will undertake as much day surgery as possible for those that require it.

We carry out a range of procedures such as glue ear through to major head and neck surgery.

The ENT service provides a number of specialist services:

Diagnosis and treatment of ENT cancers provided in conjunction with Clatterbridge Cancer Center and Aintree Hospital.
Voice clinic once per month with Speech and Language Therapist support
Dedicate thyroid clinics provided by Ms Jones and Mr Srinivasan
Sialendoscopy for salivary gland surgery
Although many patients are treated as day cases on the Surgical Division Day Case Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital; ENT, Maxillofacial Surgery and Ophthalmology share an inpatient ward of 12 beds.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

We also provide a service for people needing Vestibular Rehabilitation after they have been referred to us via their GP or the ENT ( Ear, Nose and Throat ) Department.

If you feel you have a problem with your balance, you should contact your GP.
