Mobile Librarian Service

To ensure as a trust we areusing the right knowledge and evidence, at the right time, in the right place” (HEE, 2021), the library has made some services mobile.

The following are available both in the Library, Microsoft Teams, or contact us to arrange a time for a librarian to visit your department.

Why work with Librarians and Knowledge Specialists?

The following is a video from NHS England (2020) explaining the importance of including Librarians and Knowledge Specialists in your work.

After Action Review

We can facilitate an After Action Review (AAR) : a short structured meeting held immediately after an activity such as a task within a project, a training session, a go live day or an engagement meeting. This is to capture lessons learned to prevent similar pitfalls in future projects.

DEAR

Our Drop Everything and Read sessions can help with burnout and wellbeing, now deliverable via MS Teams and to your department. For more information, please check out our DEAR page and contact us at wuth.library@nhs.net to set up a session.  "Reading for just 30 minutes a week produces grater life satisfaction; enhances social connectedness and a sense of community spirit; and helps protect against and even prepare for life difficulties" (Billington, 2015)

Journal Clubs

We offer Journal Clubs for both CPD or wellbeing. We can help facilitate the discussion, provide you with the tools to critically appraise papers, and source articles.

Policies Updates

If you are updating a trust policy, we can check your references to see if there has been any updated guidance.

Steering Groups

Have a librarian sit in your steering group to search literature and provide evidence during the meeting at the point it is needed.

Training

For more information on what sessions we offer, please visit our training page. When filling out the form, you can ask for it to be online or in your department.
