Radiology Service referrals

Due to social distancing and increased time for cleaning, all appointment times have increased which will have an impact on wait for scan. Patients will be offered one appointment. If they can’t attend that one they will be offered a further appointment. If they refuse the second appointment, it will be cancelled and they will be re-referred back to their referrer and/or consultant.

  1. CT – All referrals are being vetted and booked in order of priority except for
    • CTVC’s which will be re-starting in July after a SOP has been written ensuring a clear and safe pathway for patients, no CTVC request will be excepted from GP
    • CT cardiac’s re-start to be confirmed after discussion with SEAL manager and CT lead, potential re-start in July
  1. DEXA – All referrals are being booked
  1. Fluoroscopy – All referrals are being vetted and booked in order of priority
  1. MR – All referrals are being vetted and booked in order of priority
  1. US  – All referrals are being vetted and booked in order of priority
  1. X-ray – All referrals now need to have an appointment in order to comply with social distancing, previously radiology had a “drop-in service” which can no longer be supported
