In 2024 women were induced at WUTH for various different reasons, the most common reasons are:
- Postdates (going overdue 41 weeks) 19.86% (253 pregnancies)
- Reduced fetal movements (RFM) 19.86% (252 pregnancies)
- Pre Labour Spontaneous Rupture of Labour 12.48% (159 pregnancies)
- Other reasons include Diabetes (gestational or existing), Growth of baby (either small, reduced, or large), Maternal Age over 40, High blood pressure or Pre-ecampsia or IVF, etc.
