GP patients

Your GP will let you know if you need a blood test and will refer you to the service. When you are referred to the service, your GP will tell you if there are any specific instructions you need to follow before your test. It is important to follow the instructions as it may affect the result of the test if you don’t.

Routine and urgent blood tests:

For routine and urgent blood tests a drop-in service will run Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm at the following clinics:

  • St Catherine’s Health Centre
  • Victoria Central
  • Eastham Clinic
  • All Day Health Centre, Arrowe Park Hospital

Patients will be seen in order of arrival and waiting times will vary. If you arrive after 3.30pm, we cannot guarantee you will be seen the same day so it’s important that you arrive in plenty of time.
