Audiology / Hearing Aid Department

Location:-

From the Main Entrance, follow the signs towards the Main Outpatient Department.  The Audiology Department is straight ahead of you.  Please come in.

Services:-

We provide a range of services for the Hearing Impaired as well as performing Hearing Tests via the Direct Referral system (from your GP) and the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Clinics.

Open Access Repair Clinic:-

We are open on a Wednesday morning from 9:00am – 12:00pm midday on a ‘First Come, First Served’ basis. Please come in, take a number and a seat and wait to be called through.

Our Audiologists and Assistant Technical Officers can:-

  • Supply batteries
  • Check hearing aids
  • Replace tubing (every 3-6 months)
  • Check the condition of your ears
  • Take impressions of your ears (some staff are not qualified to take impressions, a short delay to be seen by an appropriate member of staff may result in you being seen ‘out of turn’)

Batteries Only:-

If you only require Batteries and no other repair / attention, Batteries are available Monday to Friday between 9:00am - 4:30pm.

Location:-

We are on the 2nd Floor, Blue Wing, Wing 5.

  • Take the lift to the 2nd Floor; Turn Left out of the lift, then Left again along the corridor.  Follow this all the way to the end, past the Victoria Park Practice waiting area to the Intermediate Suite.  If the doors are not open, please take a seat on the chairs provided.
  • Take the stairs to the 2nd Floor; As you arrive on the 2nd Floor, continue almost straight ahead along the corridor.  Follow this all the way to the end, past the Victoria Park Practice waiting area to the Intermediate Suite.  If the doors are not open, please take a seat on the chairs provided.

Location:-

We are in Clinic F, Main Outpatients Department.  As you walk through the door, head towards the Help Desk, turn Right, then turn Left through the double doors and present yourself to the clerk at the desk in front of you

Services:-

We provide Hearing Tests and Tympanometry via the ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Clinics.

Location:-

We are on the 1st Floor.

  • Take the lift to the 1st Floor; As you leave the lift, walk straight ahead towards the stairs and move to the seating area to the Right of the stairs as you see it from the Lifts.
  • Take the stairs to the 1st Floor; As you arrive on the 1st Floor, turn Left past the stairwell into the seating area on your Left.
