Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (WUTH) is one of the largest and busiest acute Trusts in the north west of England.

We are proud to be a leader in the development and use of technology; this includes being one of the most advanced in Europe when it comes to clinical IT infrastructure.

NHS England recognises WUTH as being a forefront leader in technology in which we were awarded Global Digital Exemplar status as formal recognition of our innovative approach and future potential.

Away from some of the ground-breaking clinical improvements we are making with technology, other important work is also happening away from our wards and clinical areas to further enhance the experience our patients, visitors and staff have with us.

In the next few weeks, we will reveal to you a huge improvement to your wuth.nhs.uk website.

It’s been over 4 years since we last refreshed wuth.nhs.uk, and knowing how quickly technology develops and changes, we have reached the stage when we need to give it some urgent TLC.

Our Communications and Marketing team have been working extremely hard behind the scenes over the past few months to bring you a newly refreshed WUTH ‘shop window’.

They’re not bringing you a brand new website; they’re simply bringing you an important upgrade, look and feel.

The NHS is currently going through the biggest change of its 70 year life. Bringing you an upgraded and improved website is about showing consistency in our approach and having a strong belief in our NHS brand.

Patients, the public and our staff see the NHS as a single, national, unified service. Updating the WUTH website, so it is more in line with that of NHS England, further reassures us that we can rely on the quality of healthcare being provided wherever we access it.

Once the newly upgraded website goes live, it is important to remember that we will be still working on it to improve and enhance your experience. We will therefore value your important feedback via wuth.website@nhs.net.
