We ask our patients for their feedback on how we've cared for them via our Learning with Patients questionnaire, when they're getting ready to leave.
Here's a selection of what some of our patients have told us recently.
"For me the most amazing thing was that Mr Smith and his team and the ward staff and others somehow managed to give the impression that dealing with my aging flesh and all its problems were a sort of privilege! This attitude must represent the NHS at its very best. It would be marvellous if it could be a role model for the whole health service. "
"I believe that the care given on ward 30 by the doctors, nurses and other staff is exceptional and I feel that I am, fortunate, given my currently difficulties to be cared for and nursed by them."
"I had excellent care and treatment from pre op to discharge. Staff where beyond kind and friendly, the whole experience was excellent. I chose to come to Mr Parkinson from the USA where I reside and I am so happy I did."
"I have had an extremely positive experience during my stay in the Wirral Women and Children's Hospital, Maternity Ward (Midwifery led unit). All the Midwives, infant feeding team members, health care assistants and other members of staff have been friendly and approachable. This is my first baby and I feel the support, advice and care my baby and I have been provided with has been invaluable and set us up for a positive first few weeks. I am particularly grateful to the Midwives and infant feeding team for helping me to breast feed my initially reluctant baby: and to the donor milk bank donors."
"I can't put into words how grateful I am for the care and assistance given to me during my stay. The level of professionalism, knowledge and support was amazing from every single member of staff I came across on the labour ward, delivery suite and ward 53.They were fantastic and I am eternally grateful. True superstars! And a credit to Arrowe Park. I have recommended this hospital to everyone. Thank you x"
"I cannot rate this Maternity unit highly enough, from the care I received throughout all of my pregnancy from antenatal right through to delivery and my aftercare has been absolutely exceptional all along. Both my self and my daughter have both received excellent care and attention and I will be defiantly recommending this unit to others."
"I was in Arrowe Park Hospital for a total of 9 days for the birth of my first baby, who also spent a short time in special care baby unit. I ended up having an emergency c-section. From arriving at the hospital with labour pains until I left the staff (all of them) were exceptional. In the delivery ward, theatre, recovery, postnatal maternity ward, SCBU, cleaning staff, catering staff. I cannot fault my experience in any way and would sincerely like to thank everyone!"
"I was taken by emergency ambulance to A&E on Thursday 13th March with a suspected heart attack. The staff were brilliant - professional, efficient and caring. Especially the doctor who was looking after me and the nurse. Every test imaginable was quickly carried out and thankfully showed I had not had a heart attack. Every member of staff I came into contact with were extremely helpful and could not do enough."
"During my visit to the unit I was kept informed at all stages of my treatment. I felt confident that the team new their job and reassured by their actions and confidence briefing."
"The staff on the rehab stroke unit, gave 110%, they were dedicated, caring, friendly and professional, my mother was on the unit for seven weeks, and I had complete confidence leaving my mother in their capable hands."
