Get Involved – Become a Member

What is a public member?

A public member is someone who has a genuine interest in their local hospital and the services provided. Residents within Wirral, North West England and North Wales may become members provided they are aged 11 years or above.

Our public members receive newsletters which keep them updated about our services, future plans and strategies.

What events can I attend?

Our members can attend open days and events, join discussion groups and take part in surveys.

Members are also invited to attend our Annual Members’ Meeting, where they will receive information regarding our business plans and annual reports. The Council of Governors hold quarterly meetings and welcome both members and the wider public.

How else can I be involved?

Members are represented by elected public governors. Any member may stand for election as a governor within their area, providing they are aged 16 years or above. Our elected public governors sit on the Council of Governors alongside our staff and stakeholder governors.

For more information regarding membership please contact:
The Membership Office on 0800 0121 356 or email wih-tr.foundation@nhs.net
To contact any of our governors email wih-tr.governors@nhs.net
